The Esposito Legacy
Esposito Hotel proudly carries the name of one of Trail’s early Italian families, whose story began in the 1950s when they immigrated from Italy to build a new life in the Kootenay region. With a rich history rooted in baking and grocery store ownership, the Espositos brought with them a deep love of quality, hospitality, and community.
Raising eleven children, the family became an integral part of Trail’s cultural fabric-hardworking, generous, and community-driven. Among them was Tullio F. Esposito, one of three sons and a natural entrepreneur. As the founder and partner of this property, his vision and dedication laid the foundation for what would one day become Esposito Hotel.
Today, that legacy continues through his sister, Dina Esposito-an accomplished business owner and consummate baker since 1976-who is proud and honored to dedicate Esposito Hotel to her brother’s legacy. Each renovated suite is named after one of her siblings, in tribute to the family who, as she says, “made me the person I am today.”
